Edpa Usa Inc. was founded in 1984 in order to penetrate the U.S. market and increase Group exports to the United States. With time, the Company evolved to become an independent import, export trading and sourcing company. The current main shareholders of the Company are Akın Holding, Akın Family, Izzet Benadrete, Ahmet Bereket and Alp Benadrete.
The principal areas of concentration of the Company are fibres, yarns, greige goods, apparel fabrics, garments and home textiles.
The Raw Materials Department sources products throughout the world and markets them mainly in the United States and Turkey. The Fabric and Garment Department source knit and woven products in Turkey and the surrounding region in Eastern Europe, Middle East, and CIS countries. The Company gives service to major clients with main international brands and retailers in the United States. The Company has built expertise in both the higher end and the discount market segments.
The Home Textiles Department gives service to its clients in the areas of decorative fabric converters, in finished products such as drapery, towels, bedding and accessories.
In recent years the company has focused in the niche markets where it has identified a competitive advantage. The trading and services turnover of the company is in excess of 100 million US dollars.
